Featuring impressive glaciers, abundant wildlife and an isolated location, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve has some of the most impressive natural sights you can find in the nation. Cruise ships and kayaks can often be seen coasting through the icy waters of this gorgeous bay, while the park headquarters at Bartlett Cove offer many trails that head off into the wild. The campground is a great place to really enjoy the Alaskan outdoors, but the park also has a lodge providing more luxurious accommodations. Located in the southeastern tip of Alaska, the park is not far from Juneau but can only be reached by boat or plane, with the closest accessible town being Gustavus. Some airlines provide frequent trips between Gustavus and Juneau and many tour boats visit the park throughout the summer months.
Open daily, year round. Most amenities open during summer months only.
Free entry.
